What to Expect
Prior to your appointment, you will need to discontinue any retinols, acids or active ingredients in your skin care routine for 5 days and avoid the sun (sunscreen and hat) for 2 weeks.
During your appointment, you will be consulted about what skin concerns you would like treated. Once you and your Skin Care Specialist have agreed on a treatment plan and have gone over potential risks, the treatment will begin.
Initial Chemical Peels will prepare your skin for deeper subsequent peels. If you choose to add on Microneedling you will be numbed prior to starting treatment. Dermaplaning can also be added to any Chemical Peel. Both Microneedling and Dermaplaning allow the Chemical Peel to reach the deep dermis and increase results. Adding either of these will decrease the number of peels needed to reach desired results.

As the Peel is applied it is normal to feel a slight burning, it can be “spicy”. We will give you a fan to hold and talk to you throughout the process to ensure you are comfortable. Immediately after treatment the skin will be red and appear sunburned for 24- 48 hours.
Minimal peeling is normal with our peels! The skin does not need to slough off in order to produce results. This is great news- our peels provide amazing results with minimal downtime! Some peeling may occur with more advanced peels, allow 7 days for full healing. Do not pick at any peeling, this leads to permanent scarring.
Sunscreen is required for 2 weeks post-treatment but is recommended always.
Longevity: Most patients schedule these treatments every 6 months, although some patients prefer every 4 months if they have aging skin. We will help you determine the best frequency for your maintenance treatments. Medium peels can also be used frequently to achieve and maintain results.
