Frax 

The Frax sends focused light and heat energy (like a laser beam) through the dermis, creating microthermal channels and leaving sections of healthy, untouched tissue around the damaged cells. The “fraction” of damaged cells is treated as a wound and the body sends healing properties to the treated area. Newly generated cells move to the skin’s surface. Cell turnover and influx of fresh collagen improve skin quality which addresses:

  • Wrinkles and Fine Lines

  • Scars

  • Stretch Marks

  • Thickening Skin

  • Acne Scars

  • and other signs of aging and damage

What to Expect: 
 

Prior to the procedure the treatment area will be numbed with prescription strength topical numbing cream and then cleansed. During the procedure you will feel heat on the treated area. Immediately post treatment the skin will be cooled and moisturized. As numbing wears off you can experience lingering heat, you can use cool compresses as needed. However, heat means the treatment is effective. If you can tolerate the heat without cool compresses you may get better long term results. Redness will subside in 24-72 hours and skin will begin to heal. The treated area may feel like sandpaper for up to 4 weeks DO NOT PICK as it will lead to permanent scarring. Your normal skin routine can begin after 5-7 days post treatment. Most clients have noticeable results with one treatment but a series of treatments may be necessary depending on the severity of the area needing treatment. Maintaining a healthy diet and daily skin care routine will improve longevity of results.

Patient Experience:

I have been self conscious about my stretch marks for years, after having a tummy tuck I still had noticeable marks and a new surgical scar. I was hesitant to try Frax because of the severity of my stretch marks but after seeing and reading about great results I scheduled an appointment. At the appointment I was numbed and cleaned then wore big glasses to protect my eyes. The numbing cream worked really well and I didnt feel pain, as the numbing cream wore off I felt warm like I had a rug burn. The redness and warmth went away over the next day. As my skin healed it felt like sandpaper for about 3 weeks, as the little sandpaper bumps flaked off I could see the amazing results! In just one treatment my scar and stretch marks had lightened and were significantly smoother. I can't wait to finish my treatment series!
